A 15 minute project....

... No honestly this one really did take just fifteen minutes to make!!!

But more of that later.... As I type Mr J is serving up a rather nice cuppa teamed with a luxury mince pie... What a lucky girl I am!!!

I am also watching an absolutely brilliant programme about penguins on BBC 1 and narrated by David Tennant... never mind a bit of David Tennant it has to be said (But don't tell Mr J!)  It is such a good watch - there are moments that are just hilarious, but also touching and just shows how tenacious this beautiful species are!

Today has been a rather busy and I must say successful day!  I love days where I get to the end tired but so happy to look back at hours of acheivement...  Today I have designed a project I'm rather proud of (can't share yet but will when I can), started to catch up on a backlog of project writeups, packed up some prizes won on my facebook page, Becky James, ticked off some long standing jobs from my to do list and made a very important note to book some brainstorming time with PR Guru Emma Collins to crack on with building my crafting profile... very excited about that one and also that starts me tackling another one of my multitude of New Year's resolutions...  A list which seems to be growing in all honesty... can you have "New Year + 1 month" resolutions?!?!?!?

Then when we have had our little chat I'm heading off to start answering a Q&A post that I am doing with Katie Skilton over on her blog... very excited about that!!! my first ever guest post and we have another one planned for the end of March which I am also thrilled to be doing... but more about that at a later date!

So let's crack on with sharing the 15 minute project...  Now look, anyone out there reading this and staring at it with mouth open, I promise you I did make a card in 15 minutes!!!!

NO REALLY - IT ONLY TOOK 15 MINUTES!!!!

Now that we have established that something never before witnessed happened towards the end of my demo on Saturday at Pickwell Farm, I'll tell you a little more about it...

The card is a small 4x4" square card that would make the perfect little thank you for a special gift or to express how much you enjoyed a night with good friends...

This project is a myriad of fabric, felt, lace, fabric ribbon and twine... its all about textiles, the only things paper-based being the card blank itself, a little card required to matt the Vintage self adhesive fabric paper and the Papermania Vintage Notes die cut sentiment.

Before layering up the Vintage notes self adhesive fabric I could not resist fraying the edges with a craft knife to reveal loose threads, just adding to the overall aged effect.  Then it was all about wrapping cream crocheted lace, fabric ribbon and Capsule Collection Bakers Twine to create a border filled with texture and interest.

The fluttering butterfly is created using an Xcut butterfly nesting die to cut Capsule Collection felt (don't forget if you have your Creativity Magazine that a felt bundle is £2 less with your money off voucher until the end of February - if you don't have your Creativity magazine then go get it!!!) and is topped with a Capsule Collection ruffled flower...

All that detail and all that yumminess in 15 minutes... what more could a crafter want???

So here is the finished article....

I'd love to know what you think...

So its time for me to go and take a little nose at Katie's questions before heading off to bed as its an early day for me tomorrow as this week I'm working at Docrafts offices on Tuesday and Wednesday...

Take care dear readers - stay warm in this chilly climate!

With lots of love
Becky
